Windows ME users beware

I just found out that if you are running windows ME, Internet Explorer 6 and Windows Media Player 9, you would be better off not doing a repair install of Windows ME. If you do, you'll need to remove IE6 and WMP 9 first or else the repair install will crash. And after you get through reinstalling Windows ME, and Windows Media Player, you won't be able to get IE 6 reinstalled easily. I've spent several days doing this for a client and I still haven't got IE6 to finish the install, it always crashes before its finished installing. I will get it to work eventualy, but I have spent around 6 hours so far just trying to get IE6 installed.

One more reason to upgrade to Windows XP. If your computer can handle it, you really should upgrade to XP.
